Zwerkonig 78 bears fragrant, cup-shaped, carmine blooms with 25 petals. Foliage is glossy; the plant is compact, winter-hardy, and 20–25 cm in height. The original Zwerkonig was a very dark miniature rose, carrying black-red blooms with wavy petals. The newer rose is more vigorous, easier to cultivate, and its flowers are brighter.
