Buds are oval and open slowly. Flowers are bright carmine, with petal undersides white, yellowing toward the base; large (10 cm), double (30 petals), slightly fragrant, borne singly and in clusters of up to 5 per inflorescence, on strong pedicels. Leaves are large, dark green, glossy, and dense. Bushes are vigorous (70–80 cm) and spreading. Young shoots are anthocyanin-colored. Flowering is abundant; the first bloom lasts 15–19 days. Winter-resistant. Resistant to fungal diseases. Suitable for group plantings and for cutting.
