More information
Yves Piaget is the rose from which the well-known Romance of Meillan series originated. It was initially presented as a Hybrid Tea, yet its peony-like, wavy-petaled blooms represented a distinct new form. The flowers are full and rounded, soft pink at the margins and deeper pink at the center, with irregular, notched, wavy petal edges. They appear singly or 2–3 together on long, sturdy shoots, are suitable for cutting, and have a strong fragrance. The shrub is not tall but upright and well-branched, almost without thorns. It responds well to heat, fertilization, and watering. The foliage shows good disease resistance in mild climates but can be susceptible in cold, wet conditions. Flowering is very abundant and prolonged.
Very fragrant rose, recipient of multiple fragrance awards. Large, very double flowers with cut-out petal edges and a lilac-pink color.
This rose bears large pink blooms with a characteristic globular shape and wavy petals. It is noted for an intense yet fresh lemon fragrance. In 1992, in the Bagatelle garden (France), it received a fragrance award. The variety is suitable for areas with long, dry summers and performs poorly in cool, damp climates.
