More information
Yellow Button is the first of Austin’s yellow-coloured roses. The blooms are bright yellow at opening, but quickly fade to white beginning at the edges. This results in a contrast between the vivid yellow center and the white outer ring of petals. The flowers are rosette-shaped, with many small petals, often showing a button eye in the center. They are borne in clusters of 3–9. The plant bears few thorns. The variety shows resistance to diseases, with the exception of black spot. The shrub is spreading, so it is suitable for the front of borders. It performs better in cooler climates, as heat causes it to fade quickly.
