More information
An elegant rose whose flowers seem to float on long, flexible branches, giving the plant an airy look reminiscent of autumn anemones (windflower). The blooms are slightly calyx- (cup-) shaped, a bit tousled, and soft pink. Suitable for borders and combines well with other plants. The fragrance is delicate.
The variety shows a clear influence of Alba roses in its habit: a tall, airy, graceful bush with slender branches, giving ‘Windflower’ its characteristic appearance. The flowers resemble wild roses; they are light and airy, cup-shaped, soft pink with a slight lilac tint, and they rise above the foliage on long shoots. These traits add softness to a border of English roses and pair well with other plants in a mixborder. The scent notes include rose oil, apples, and cinnamon.
