More information
Westfalenpark is a vigorous shrub or branching plaited rose with hybrid tea–quality blooms. Flowers are borne singly or in loose clusters of 3–7. Petals show a light amber tone with a slightly darker reverse and deeper shading in the center. As the blooms age, the petal edges develop a pink tinge. The cultivar is disease resistant and forms a spreading bush. Shoots carry large thorns. Foliage is large, glossy, dark green; young growth is bronze.
This shrub is suitable for mass planting and for large spaces, including parks or highway plantings. The flowers are large, double, apricot, and fragrant. The foliage is large and dark green, and the habit is spreading, so confined sites should allow for its size. It is rarely grown.
