More information
This rose is cultivated as a low climber or a large shrub. Flowers are semi-double, pure white, with a cluster of golden stamens. They are produced in clusters of 3–10 blooms. Flowering occurs not only at shoot tips but also on short laterals on last year’s wood, resulting in abundant bloom. Shoots are long, thick, and arching. Foliage is dark, glossy, and large. Shows disease resistance. Reblooms quickly and flowers almost continuously. Height varies by region: in Germany it reaches 2 metres, and in Australia it reaches 5 metres. In English-speaking countries it is known as White Cloud.
Clusters of large, snow-white flowers with a strong, sweet fragrance top numerous shoots up to 1.2 m high. Growth is vigorous and spreading, forming dense hedges quickly. One feature to note: inflorescences can be so heavy that shoots droop under their weight, so create a rigid framework through pruning. Suitable for linear plantings, as well as group and solitary plantings. It can be affected by black spot in some years, so preventive spraying is recommended.
