More information
The size of Weisse Immensee suggests cultivation as a groundcover rose. It has also been offered in pleached form; it is a Vihurana rambler. Compared with other Vihurana ramblers grown as climbing roses, it bears single, small, non-waved flowers. The blooms are white, opening from soft pink buds, with a cluster of stamens in the center. They appear in clusters of 5–10, and small red hips ripen in autumn. The foliage is small, shiny, and disease-resistant; the shrub is prickly. Creeping shoots often root.
This groundcover rose is suitable for planting on a bank or in a terraced garden. The flowers open soft pink and quickly fade to white. They cover the entire bush. The blooms are fragrant and appear on a spreading bush with abundant shiny dark green foliage. Resistant to diseases. Long shoots trail along the ground and readily intertwine with other plants. The variety is very winter-hardy and requires little attention. Flowering is early, single flowering.
