Flowers are spherical, 8 cm in diameter; double , borne in inflorescences of 5–7. Flowering is abundant, occurring in waves throughout the season. Blooms are yellow with red tips; opening buds appear almost red. Vulcanica forms a bush 120–150 cm tall and 60–80 cm wide. Foliage is dark green and large. The variety shows high resistance to disease and rain.
