Climbing, once-blooming, almost thornless. Flowers are purple, shifting to purplish-red, medium-sized (5–6 cm), very double (60–80 petals), borne in clusters of 3–17. Bushes show moderate vigor, reaching about 2 m in height. Foliage is dark green and glossy.
