The bud is elongated (about 5 cm), ovoid, and orange. It opens into a salmon-pink bloom with 35–40 classically shaped petals and a high center; the outer petals are slightly undulate. At the base of each petal at the point of attachment there is a yellow crescent-shaped stripe. The color persists through all phases of flowering; occasionally the outermost petals show variegation as greenish-white stripes. Fragrance is low in intensity. The bush shows vigorous growth, is densely foliated, with broadly oval, serrated leaflets, 5 or 7 on a developed leaf. Susceptible to powdery mildew. (patentgenius.com)
