More information

Large, dark red flowers with 25–30 petals, mostly solitary on shoots, with a light raspberry fragrance. The bush is vigorous; the blooms have good longevity.

Bright red, high-centered buds, well-formed, with a fruity fragrance, 26–40 petals. Flowers are mostly solitary on upright, tall stems with dark green, semi-glossy foliage. According to general comments from ARS members, this rose is regarded as a leading red rose in recent years. Blooms are large, red, velvety, with a raspberry fragrance. Growth is very vigorous and generally healthy. The color does not fade. The blooms can last up to 10 days, and with proper care the rose lasts the same time in cut. This rose is a frequent winner at exhibitions.

Slight susceptibility to black spot, manageable with regular spraying. The fragrance is not strong. Jackson & Perkins donates a portion of the proceeds of this rose to American Veterans. (www.rosebriargardens.com Copyright © 2011 Rosebriar Gardens)
