More information

Carmine-red flowers with 40 or more petals are borne in numerous inflorescences.

Carmine-red polyanthus rose. Flowers are large and very full (over 41 petals), produced in large clusters. Blooms throughout the season.
The bush is low, well-branched.
Height 30 to 40 cm.

Polyanthus roses are grown in gardens for their long flowering period and for forming large trusses of small, faintly fragrant flowers. The Verdun variety bears large sprays of terry, carmine-red flowers all season.
This rose tolerates cold and is suited to temperate climates with winters cold enough to induce dormancy. Like most roses, it prefers well-lit planting sites, moist, well-drained soils, and ample ventilation. It can be used as a low hedge, in mixed borders, or in containers.
