Exclusive pleached rose variety for rose-growing companies in Bavaria and Northern Germany.
The variety features densely packed, romantic-style flowers with a light, delicate fragrance and high resistance to fungal diseases. Growth is sufficient for classification as a plaited rose yet moderate in overall habit, suitable for small gardens. It can be grown in containers.
The plant reaches about 1 m in height in the first year and about 2 m in subsequent years. Flowers are produced in clusters of 5–7. Buds are pompom-shaped, opening to cup-shaped, densely packed blooms of nostalgic form. Foliage is glossy, dark green.
Suitable for training against walls, pergolas, fences, or obelisks. Due to moderate vigour, it is generally not used on arches. On boles 140 cm high, it forms a drooping crown.
At the Baden-Baden competition of rose novelties in summer 2012, the variety received an award and the Honourable Prize of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
In 2012, the variety was submitted to the ADR exam, scoring 26.2 out of 30 points in the disease resistance category and 70.7 out of 100 points overall; it did not receive the ADR designation.
