More information
A musk rose hybrid that David Austen dedicated to a compatriot. It is named in honour of the British artist Vanessa Bell, sister of Virginia Woolf. The lemon-toned inflorescences can appear to glow. This effect results from the lighter, slightly faded colouring at the petal tips. The Vanessa Bell rose has rounded buds with a pink hue, arranged in clustered sprays. It blooms throughout the season with minimal interruption. Its scent of lemon, green tea, and honey carries across the flower bed.
