More information
Bred at BSI FEB RAS; 2005 cultivar “Ussurochka” (“Ussurochka”). Obtained from the cultivar ‘Eulalia Berridge’ as a bud mutation. Flowers are medium-sized (3.5–5.5 cm), cup-shaped, double (65–84 petals), borne in inflorescences of 5–57 flowers. The flower color changes sequentially: a white bud opens white, the petals then become pink, later bright crimson. Leaves are small and glossy, with ciliate bracts. Prickles are small and sparse. Bushes are low, 55–65 cm tall, dense, slightly spreading. Abundant, continuous flowering begins in the first decade of July and continues until late autumn. Grows and flowers in open ground both on its own roots and when grafted. By biological and growth characteristics, the cultivar is multipurpose, suitable for landscape compositions and for outdoor vase cultivation. As a pot culture, it can be maintained indoors and in winter gardens. Overwinters under air-dry shelter. Shows resistance to unfavorable weather conditions, pests, and fungal diseases (powdery mildew, black spot).
