More information

This variety produces bright cherry-pink flowers that are very large and very densely petaled. The reverse of the petals is pale pink; the color fades over time. The blooms are nearly globular, with petals curving toward the center and the outer petals bending downward, borne singly or in clusters of 2–3, rising above the foliage on long, erect shoots. They hold well when cut, have a strong fragrance, and are susceptible to rain damage. The foliage is large, bright green, and glossy. The bush is robust and upright, with shoots that are almost thornless. If its long shoots are bent to the ground, they will bloom along their entire length.

Very fragrant, large, cup-shaped flowers of pink-red color. The bush is vigorous and erect, with dark green foliage, almost thornless, reaching 2 metres in height. Suitable for cutting. Numerous flowers appear in early summer; later they are fewer, with a second wave of abundant flowering in autumn. Performs best on clay soils. Requires sufficient pruning to maintain the bush shape.

Paul Neyron is a large nineteenth-century remontant hybrid characterized by huge pink blooms; this rose is its descendant. The flowers are cherry-red, large, cup-shaped, and fragrant, consistent with the parent. The bush is upright and vigorous.
