Trier 2000 is a floribunda introduced in 1980 that experienced a surge in popularity in 2000. The name refers to the beginning of Roman rule in the city of Trier 2000 years ago. The blooms are salmon pink, paler toward the center, semi-marginal, with visible stamens. Rain can cause red speckling on the petals. Flowers are borne in clusters of 5–15 on long shoots, suitable for cutting. The foliage is dark and can be affected by black spot; the bush is branched. It blooms very abundantly and is used in borders.
Medium-sized flowers with 20 petals, faintly fragrant; leaves shiny; good disease resistance. The variety is popular. It blooms abundantly with large cyst-like inflorescences and forms a slender bush densely clothed with leathery leaves. Used for flowerbeds, hedges, and cutting.
