Medium to large, semi-marginal (9–16 petals) scarlet blooms with a lighter reverse and a white eye, with a soft apple fragrance, borne in inflorescences on long pedicels. Continuous flowering throughout the season. The shrub is medium-sized, thick, and dense, with glossy, dark green foliage.
The variety may bear solitary flowers, but more often produces clusters of two to five or more per stem. Inflorescences are carried on strong short to medium stems 16 to about 45 cm long. Outdoors, bloom is nearly continuous throughout the growing season. The flowers have apple and tea scent. At full bloom, flower diameter ranges from 7.3 to about 9.4 cm. Flowers are semi-marginal: 10 to 17 petals, remain on the plant for 4–5 days, with clear blooms. The bush shows moderate vigor and is dense.
