More information
This rose is similar to Tuscany Superb, differing mainly in height. Its size allows cultivation in small gardens and in containers. The flowers are 5–7 cm in diameter, double (17–25 petals), with wavy, velvety petals.
The colour ranges from red-cherry to deep purple; with age the blooms become darker. Bright yellow stamens are prominent in the centre. The plant is fragrant. The shrub reaches a maximum height of 90 cm. Under favourable conditions it can sprawl, so the width may exceed the height.
It can be grown in containers and used on retaining walls in combination with pale yellow and white varieties.
