More information
This rose was selected by friends in honor of the French singer Tino Rossi, in a color he particularly favored: rich, dark pink. The blooms have a defined form, with large petals and a pale crimson reverse. The variety received a prize for its fragrance. Flowers usually appear singly, and flowering is profuse. The foliage is large, dark, glossy, disease resistant, and the shrub is strong-growing. It is very popular in Europe and Australia, but almost unknown in the USA.
The flowers of this cultivar are medium to large, rounded, double, with 50 petals. The color is a rather cool, soft salmon-pink tone, with pink veining. The fragrance is pronounced. The bush is branched, erect, medium height, with dense foliage.
