More information
Miniature rose with pink color and a strong fragrance. Compact, bushy plants bloom in waves throughout the season. Flowers are cup-shaped, very small (2–3 cm), very double (50–60 petals), fragrant; leaves are dark and small. The compact habit allows use for dense borders, low hedges, and framing flower beds; miniatures also grow well in containers. Like other roses, it prefers open, well-lit sites sheltered from cold winds and well-prepared, organically rich soil. The variety is winter-hardy and requires protection from PP. It is one of the first miniature roses introduced to the market after the Second World War. It was originally introduced in the United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) as ‘Sweet Fairy’ in 1946. In 2010, it was introduced in the United States by Greenheart Farms as ‘Blushing Mate’.
