More information
This rose was the first groundcover rose bred by Meighan. Swany combines the genes of two evergreen roses, Rosa sempervirens and Rosa wichurana; instead of being a strong-growing pleached rose, it forms a spreading, profusely flowering bush. The blooms are pure white, with a soft pink tone in the center when they first open, densely petaled, rosette-shaped. They appear in clusters of 5–20 on rather long stems. The foliage is dark green, fine, shiny, evergreen. The shape of the bush is suitable for planting on a slope. Can be used as a low pleached rose.
