Winter-hardy Rugosa rose with velvety, intensely pink flowers and yellow stamens from the Strandperle ® (Coastal Pearl) series. The bush habit resembles a compact shrub. In winter, it carries numerous bright red hips. Low, dense growth with good health; suitable for hedges. The foliage is more filigree than that of most rugosas. Flowers in waves (flushes) throughout the season. The originator specifically highlights a feature of the variety: rosehip constituents are said to be effective against osteoarthritis and bind free radicals in the body as antioxidants. Use cases: landscape planting, public-area landscaping, slopes, hedges. Planting density: 4 plants per square metre (50 cm between plants).
