This rose is named in honor of friend Stephen Rulo and was introduced in 2008. The cultivar displays variable coloration: beige with gold reflections and lavender along the petal edges; at different stages of opening it can appear dark coffee, lavender, or even gray. Large flowers with 26–40 petals and a light fragrance appear throughout the season. The bush is tall and upright, with glossy, medium-green foliage.
