More information
The flowers are luminous yellow and carry a molasses-like scent. The foliage is pale green and contrasts with the blooms. The bush is branched, upright, and blooms profusely.
The variety is characterized by its flower color and by its fragrance. Small, cup-shaped flowers with numerous petals show a saturated golden-yellow color. The fragrance is very strong, with melissa (lemon balm) dominating a complex bouquet of aromas. Bushes are medium-sized (about 80 cm), and the foliage, as in many yellow-flowered varieties, is quite light. Two features are noted: slow growth and very dense wood. As with slow-growing varieties, only light pruning is recommended for the first two years, and dense wood is usually an indicator of high winter hardiness.
