Blooms are carried in large inflorescences of 5–30, forming bouquet-like clusters at the tips of shoots. The leaves are light green, and the stems have a bristle of small thorns. The rose flowers almost continuously both in the ground and in pots. Flower coloration is most intense in temperate climate zones. The rose has a musky fragrance.
