More information
Sonnekind resembles a reduced-scale counterpart of a tea-hybrid rose in form. Some specialists place it among low tea-hybrid roses, others rank it as a large miniature, and it is also listed as a patio rose by some sources. The blooms are often solitary, appearing one at a time on the stem. They are a clear, bright yellow, contrasting with the dark foliage. The flowers themselves drop after flowering. The shrub is well-branched and produces abundant bloom, to the extent that the foliage can be obscured by the flowers. Its compact, regular habit is suitable for container culture.
