More information
Danish breeder Poulsen bred this rose in 1992. Avon bears small, semi-double, white flowers, slightly larger than miniatures, and they are produced in large numbers. The blooms open from pink buds and may initially show a pale pink tinge, but they quickly turn white. They appear in small clusters of 5-10 flowers across the surface of the spreading bush. The shrub usually does not exceed 40 cm in height and 1 m in diameter, but in hot climates without pruning it can reach a larger size. It blooms almost continuously. The foliage is small, dark, and disease resistant. Young plants are suitable for containers, but require transplanting into the ground in late autumn.
