More information
An English Rose showing a modern-style presentation. Small buds open into densely petalled, wide, open rosettes of saturated deep pink. As the blooms age, the lower petals reflex to give a pompon-like form, and the colour intensifies—unusual for an English Rose. Flowers are about 8–10 cm in diameter and appear in large numbers. The fragrance is light, herbaceous. The shrub is disease-resistant, medium-sized, and densely branched, with slightly drooping shoots. The saturated colour allows contrast in compositions with more delicately coloured roses. Suitable for formal-style plantings. Grows even in less favourable conditions.
