More information
It is unclear whether this floribunda’s popularity is due to its name or its appearance. The flowers are almost flat, with slightly wavy petals, rosette-shaped, and camellia-like. They are warm pink, with darker petal undersides and paler edges. Blooms appear in clusters of 5–15 on strong, straight shoots. The bush is dense and low, with dark foliage that shows disease resistance. It blooms relatively late; flowering is long and abundant, and the interval before the next flush is quite long. Deadheading can stimulate faster and more abundant reblooming. Suitable for flowerbeds and mixborders.
Flowers are soft pink, produced on long, strong shoots in large clusters. Fragrant double blooms have 40 petals and are camellia-like in shape. Clusters persist for a long time; to stimulate new flowers, it is advisable to remove spent blooms. The foliage is small; the bush is compact and disease-resistant. The variety has received many awards.
The flowers are bright, iridescent pink, with buds showing more intense coloration. Blooms tolerate wind and rain with little damage; diameter is 8 cm; double (at least 40 petals). Buds are globular, with short inner petals. The bush carries cyst-like inflorescences of up to 45 buds, with flowers opening sequentially. One flowering wave is followed by another. Bushes are low, compact, and dense, with many stems branching from the base, and benefit from strong pruning. The typical height does not exceed 75 cm, with a width of 60 cm. It does not tolerate prolonged exposure to hot sun. In very dry, hot summers it can suffer from powdery mildew. Requires careful site selection—avoid strongly windy locations and excessively hot sun.
