More information

Moderately vigorous, upright shrub. Flowers vivid scarlet with a black-velvety cast, cup-shaped, medium-sized (up to 7 cm in diameter), semi-double, with a faint aroma, borne singly and in clusters of 3–5 on strong pedicels of medium length. In the cut, they last up to 8 days. Buds open reliably. Flowering is abundant and extended, from spring until frost. Propagation rate is relatively high. Resistant to powdery mildew; in the south it overwinters without cover, while in the middle zone of the Union it requires light shelter. Used for ornamental plantings, cutting, borders, and pot culture.
