More information
Blooms continuously, with high winter hardiness and good disease resistance; bright orange hips set early on the bush and persist through winter; in autumn the foliage turns light yellow. The flowers are semi-double, pure white, appearing bright (especially in the evening), with petals neatly arranged around thick yellow stamens. The flowers appear in small clusters, usually 3-4 per cluster, and withstand rain well. The foliage is wrinkled, typical of rugosa, pale green, and glossy. The shrub has a denser, more compact habit than many rugosas, and the shoots are very prickly.
