More information
Numerous evergreen groundcover roses were derived from Rosa wichurana during the 1990s. Schneekonigin received the German ADR award. The blooms open from creamy buds, initially creamy pink and then fading to pure white. The flowers are semi-double, with yellow stamens at the center. They are produced in long clusters, with new blossoms appearing continuously, so the surface of the shrub remains covered with flowers. The plant has a spreading habit, and the foliage is small, dark green. As with other groundcover roses, Schneekonigin is suitable for landscape plantings and for mixed borders. Flowering continues until late autumn.
