A shrub that flowers in recurrent flushes from May to October. Its double blooms (9 cm in diameter, about 40 petals) are borne in clusters and show a glossy bright red color. The foliage, particularly on new growth, has a bronze tint. This cultivar is employed in ornamental plantings. It is suitable for beds, as a solitary specimen or in groups, and as a low hedge, with the flowering season extending from May to October.
