More information
A modern rose cultivar. Flowers are not ruffled, cup-shaped, large, bright, velvet-red, with a white eye and yellow stamens. They appear in large numbers across the surface of the bush in loose clusters of 5-15. The flowers are followed by small, rounded, scarlet fruits, and the variety re-blooms quickly and abundantly so that flowering continues until late autumn. Rouge Meillandecor forms a dense, rounded bush, wider than tall, reaching 1.5 m in height, but it is often cut back to 40 cm. The foliage is dark, glossy, and almost completely disease resistant. The variety is winter hardy. Suitable for planting as a groundcover rose, in containers, and for other uses.
