An upright, medium-sized shrub with plentiful, dark green foliage showing a brown tint at the tips of the shoots. The rose bears elongated, pyramidal inflorescences holding up to a hundred small, simple, flat flowers with a deep purple coloration that contrasts with the brownish-green foliage. Can be used as a small rambler. The variety has good winter hardiness.
