More information
In cold climates, Rosa Zwerg is used for landscape plantings. The dense, low-growing shrub is suitable for private gardens. It shows disease resistance, hardiness, and notable fragrance. The flowers are semi-double, soft pink, with a lilac tinge and golden stamens. In the USA, it is called Dwarf Pavement and sold within the Pavement series of winter-hardy rugosa hybrids alongside other Baum roses, whose flowers are larger than those of ordinary rugosas. Rosa Zwerg, however, has regular-sized flowers. Large red fruits ripen in autumn, and as a repeat bloomer, the shrub continues to flower when the first fruits appear. Like most rugosas, Rosa Zwerg grows equally well in hot, dry climates and tolerates winds and saline soils well.
