Buds are yellow. Flowers 3–6 cm in diameter, semi-double (9–16 petals), initially light yellow, then cream-white, borne in inflorescences. Blooms once, in June–July. Ornamental orange-red fruits form in August. Fragrance is strongly honeyed. Foliage is dark green, glossy, disease-resistant. Leaves bear 7–9 leaflets. Shoots are prickly, long, thick, very strong. The bush reaches 250 cm in height; in warm climates up to 600–700 cm. Grows on poor soils.
