More information
Despite the name Golden Meillandina, this cultivar is not a Meillandina variety; it was bred by Ralph Moore. Introduced in 1977. Like many yellow roses, it is susceptible to black spot. The foliage is glossy.
Grown worldwide, Rise'n'Shine remains among the most widely grown yellow miniature roses. Buds are egg-yellow with a paler reverse, opening to bright yellow blooms that then fade to lemon and cream, with yellow stamens in the centre. Flowers appear singly or in clusters of up to 7. The bush is dense, branched, with fine foliage, resistant to diseases, and strong-growing. Flowering repeats very quickly.
It blooms continuously. In heat, the flowers quickly fade to cream, and the colour is not as bright as in photos. (Oliver)
