More information
Remembrance is a floribunda with bright red to scarlet blooms of relatively large size. Flowers are produced in clusters—usually 3–5 per truss, sometimes more—and occasionally singly. The shrub is dense and compact, with blossoms covering most of the surface. Foliage is dark, glossy, and generally disease resistant. The plant is tidy and well-branched. Its size makes it suitable for small gardens and containers.
The blooms show an iridescent bright red, and the coloration remains stable in strong sun and during storms. Buds are globular at first and initially keep their form; the reverse of the outer petals is visible first. The inner petal rows are arranged in very tight circles. With a flower diameter not exceeding 6 cm, there are 45 petals. Numerous inflorescences cover the entire bush. Mature plants develop a rounded crown. The shrub remains low, not more than 75 cm tall and about 60 cm wide. Leaves are small, emerald green, very glossy with a lacquered look, and very dense. Can be affected by powdery mildew; otherwise disease resistant.
