More information
Regensberg is a compact, low-growing “painted” rose. The blooms open quickly and are bright crimson or deep pink with a slight bluish cast, contrasting sharply with a white center and white streaks that mottle the petals. The undersides of the petals are also white, though the pink coloration shows through beneath. Petal count is high, yet the blooms soon reveal the center and appear semi-marginal, with pale yellow stamens. They are produced in dense clusters on short pedicels, 3–7 per cluster. The foliage is disease-resistant, glossy, fine, and very dark; young growth is bronze. In cold climates it rarely exceeds 30–40 cm in height, and the flowers become larger, so it is used at the front edge of flowerbeds. Flowering is nearly continuous.
