More information
The cultivars in the Bells series share the same parentage (Temple Bells and Mini Poul) and similar core traits: small glossy leaves on arching branches, and in July and August they bear clusters of small single flowers. They can grow in semi-shade and are undemanding in regard to soil. The only notable difference among them is flower color.
This variety can be used as a groundcover, suitable for large open areas, as it quickly forms a dense carpet of small, shiny green leaves and small double flowers (26–40 petals) in shades from dark red to black.
The shoots are slender, branched, and do not require pruning. It grows in sunny sites as well as semi-shade and is not demanding of soil.
