More information

The rose ‘Rassvet’ is a Hybrid Tea variety with bicoloured flowers: yellow-pink with pale pink petal edges. Blooms are medium-sized, about 8–9 cm (approximately 3.25 inches) in diameter, double, with about 28–30 petals, and are usually borne solitary on long stems. The fragrance is light to moderate.

The shrub is medium-sized. The foliage is dark green and glossy. Flowering is abundant and extended, occurring in repeated flushes from spring to late autumn. It is suitable for group plantings and for use as a cut flower.

‘Rassvet’ is classified by the ARS as a pink blend Hybrid Tea with pink blooms, yellow shading, and pink edges. It is suitable for cultivation in USDA hardiness zones 6b through 9b.

The variety was bred by Vera Nikolaevna Klimenko in the former USSR in 1955. Its recorded parentage is a seedling of the Hybrid Tea rose ‘Peace’ (Meilland, 1935).
