R. spaldingii is a light pink species (wild) rose. The flowers have a mild fragrance and are medium to large, single blooms with 4–8 petals, usually borne singly or in clusters. It flowers once in spring or summer. The plant has a bushy, upright, well-branched habit with medium, semi-glossy foliage and 5 to 9 leaflets. Typical height is about 180 to 200 cm and width about 90 cm. It is suitable for USDA zones 6b through 9b. The rose was introduced around 1915 under the name Rosa spaldingii Crép.; the introducer is listed as unknown.
