More information
This rose resembles the pleached rose from Weeks, “Fourth of July,” but in purple tones. Flowers are borne in large conical clusters of 10–15 blooms and have a sweet fragrance with apple notes. Wine‑purple blooms with bright white streaks contrast with glossy apple‑green foliage. It flowers abundantly in the planting year and can quickly form a “blooming wall.” In cool weather the coloration becomes brighter and more contrasting. It is almost thornless, very spreading, and responds well to horizontal bending/training of the branches. The rose shows disease resistance and is described as continuously flowering.
