A British rose bred by David Austin, belonging to the informal group of nostalgic shrubs.
Large white or cream-colored blooms, with a light golden tint at the center, open from a classic high-centered “glass” bud into a deep, cupped bowl, and they present a strong rose‑oil fragrance.
Proud Titania is also known as Fragrant Old White.
The cultivar is rated for USDA zones 6–9 and farther south. It is among the varieties that David Austin did not recommend for non‑professional cultivation.
In subtropical zones, the plant can attain heights of up to 3 metres, reflecting its growth potential in warm climates.
