More information

Proud is widely used among white roses grown for cutting. The bloom is pure white, sometimes with a greenish tone at the center; the petals display a warm white coloration.

Delicate, double flowers with fragrance and a high-centered form. The bloom is large, double (up to 45 petals), 10–12 to 14 cm in diameter. Opening is slow from a tall, dense bud 7–8 cm high, and the bloom holds for a long period. The flower almost never opens fully, keeping the center concealed. With age, the bloom fades and can take on a papery appearance.

Foliage is light green, often retaining the burgundy tint of young leaves. Dark red veins appear on the pale green background, creating contrast with the white blooms.

The bush is tall, sturdy, and thornless, reaching 80–120 cm in height and 60–100 cm in width. As a cut flower, it lasts 14–18 days in a vase.

Disease resistance is good (++). Frost resistance USDA zone: Sixth. Tolerance to adverse environmental factors is good; it is not significantly affected by rain or heat. Suitable for cutting and also used in garden plantings. It has very good transportability and maintains bloom shape for a long time after cutting. Flowering is abundant, begins at the end of June, and continues until frost with short breaks.
