‘Prolifera de Redouté’ is a Centifolia and Hybrid Gallica rose with deep pink, globular blooms. Flowers show proliferating blooms and leafy (foliaceous) sepals, with long sepaled buds. The fragrance is strong. Blooms are double to full, with approximately 26 or more petals, and it flowers once in spring or summer. The shrub is upright and armed with thorns or prickles, typically bearing 5 leaflets. The height can reach up to about 185 cm and the width up to about 150 cm. It grows in USDA zones 4b through 9b. The cultivar is a sport of ‘Centfeuilles des Peintres’ and is considered a hybrid centifolia. The original form had up to about a dozen bud proliferations within a single bloom.
