More information
This rose is named in honour of Princess Alexandra, cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, a horticulturist and rose enthusiast. The variety bears unusually large blooms of warm pink. The flowers are densely petalled, deeply cup-shaped, and surrounded by a ring of lighter outer petals. Blooms hold their shape despite their size. They are carried on a rounded bush about 90cm tall and 60cm wide. Owing to the size, it is recommended to plant in groups of 3 or more bushes to balance the number of flowers and branches. The fragrance is tea-like, becoming lemony with notes of blackcurrant as the flower ages. High disease resistance.
